Effective communication occurs when the intent and meaning of an individual is understood by another person.

Among the various forms that communication can assume, there is the Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), which is a set of tools and strategies that the individual uses to solve the day-to-day communication challenges. The AAC is the term that is used to describe various communication methods that can help people who are unable to use verbal speech to communicate.
