A person with hearing loss cannot hear a fire alarm. A blind man cannot see the signs of evacuation. A person in a wheelchair can not run down the stairs. From the point of view of fire safety and evacuation, our buildings were designed exclusively for people without any limitations in their mobility or ability. This course is intended to teach how to identify the main difficulties in the evacuation of people with special needs in emergency situations and develop strategies for their protection or safe evacuation. The procedures to be taken into account in the preparation of emergency plans and the legal requirements of incorporation and training of internal emergency teams will be addressed as well.
