For culture professionals who strive so that works of an artistic nature may reach the public, the community, and who, consequently, have to manage access to them, it becomes essential to have a knowledge of the norms of copyright in order to better reach their objectives. Between copyright, which aims to protect the author and the work and the dundamental right of access to culture, one mainly looks at cultural institutions and expects them to find the perfect balance between the respect for the author´s rights and the promotion of the works they manage, considering at the same time the opportunities / limitations presented by new technologies and, especially, the social media. This course aims to provide the necessary tools in order to achieve this equilibrium.
